In 1988, the land use right for Lot No. 26 in the zone with an area of 12,900 sq.m. was successfully transferred at USD 28 million for 50 years. Till now, Hongqiao Development Zone transferred 11 pieces of lots with an area of 72,000 sq.m. The successful implementation of land use right for valuable consideration marked a great outbreak of the reform of the land use system in China and created a new pattern of introducing foreign capital to construct domestic infrastructures.
